Louisville is undergoing a $1 billion transformation that includes the renovation/expansion of the convention center (Kentucky International Convention Center), 1,600 new hotel rooms, and additional boutique distilleries. KICC will reopen in August of 2018 with 200,000 sq. ft. of contiguous exhibit space, 40,000 sq. ft. ballroom & 52 meeting rooms. The much anticipated Omni opens in March of 2018 with 612 guestrooms which will result in 1600 rooms within ½ block of the convention center, 3500 rooms within 2 blocks and 5000 within 6 blocks. The Urban Bourbon Experience features downtown distilleries, spirits exhibits, and craft cocktail destinations and is growing with 6 distilleries downtown.
Louisville is a unique destination with authentic, one-of-a-kind experiences including the Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum, Muhammad Ali Center & Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Attendees can dig into Louisville’s renowned culinary scene at over 130 restaurants within walking distance of the convention center where we have won the following accolades: “One of the best foodie small towns in America” per Bon Appetite, “One of the 7 up and coming foodie towns in America” per Zagat, and “One of the 10 Best Foodie Streets in America” per Food & Wine Magazine.
